The fields I have in the games table are seasonID,matchDate, VS(what team they played) GF,GA,Result (win, loss etc) and one list box to indicate if the game was home or away. Have a look in link above

Got it. Had to remember you are doing this for one team.

What are GF and GA data?

    No score recorded?

SeasonID, MatchDate, Vs, OurPts, VsPts, Result (OT, SO)

The win/loss/tie value could be calculated by the score or you could still have the set of 7 values for the Result field.

all of the info needed is in the games table. GF, GA is goals for and Goals allowed so basically like a "result" or "final"
I thin I am heading in the right direction? were you able to look at latest db file? where the database is only for one team I will only need that one field for opponent (the oposing team that my team , that I am doing the db for, is playing. The home/away drop down box takes care of letting users know if it was a home or away game, so all should be good in the games table. for now

Yes, I did download the newer version.

So GF and GA is the score, okay, looking good.

I will just repeat one comment: Another thing to consider is combining the Player and Goalies tables (goalies play too). Then the statsGoalie and statsPlayer tables would each join to the PlayerID.

    June,
I have data entry done with access. Now what is my next step for getting the data to my sql and letting my visitors pull info from the database based on searches etc. Can you lead me in the right direction for this. I know this is going to be the most difficult part. but need a starting point

What do you mean 'getting the data to my sql'? I don't know MySQL database and never built a web database. Maybe start a new thread on this phase.
