    What's the question? The properties displayed are of a textbox, not a drop down (combo). You'd sort a combo either with its row source query or the order of items in a value list.

    sorting with the field property sheet

    Sorry, my first snapshot was in error.

    I mean with this statement how can I make it sort the names?

    Datasource:
    SELECT tNames.Area, tNames.Name FROM tNames WHERE (((tNames.Area)="Audit"));

    Thanks

    SELECT tNames.Area, tNames.Name FROM tNames WHERE tNames.Area="Audit" ORDER BY tNames.Name;

    If you want to learn how to fish, click on the ... on the row source line which will put the SQL in design view, where you can play with the sort and run the query.
