Inventory tracker with library "check in and check out" functions

    Hi there!

I've been tasked to create an inventory system that gives the ability for people to check items in and then check them out. This database is for a large Summer Camps program. The idea is that the admin will be able to track inventory transactions, and the leaders will be able to check items out and back in.

I found two database templates (blegh, templates) on MS access' website and I am starting to merge them together. (I believe they were called desktop inventory and Asset library).

Anyway, I have most of it starting to come together, but having a hard time getting the check outs / check ins to affect stock properly.

I am wondering if anyone knows of any templates or methods to easily implement something like this. The camps do not have that much time, and are on a budget as to how many hours they can pay for.

    Thank you!

I guess I should mention that the same item would be able to be checked out simultaneously (IE 20 basketballs, one camp takes 10 another camp takes 10).
