I've copied the db to another drive renamed it and did the compact and repair db but after click that it gives me the same error. Any other solutions would really help.

The error message is "The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to chane the same data at the same time."

But no one else was in the database when I tried to open it.

    Thanks

I tried doing the compact and repair and that didn't work. I tried making a copy of the corrupted database and placed it in another drive and that didn't work either. I keep getting the same error. I do not want to pay $70 for a tool.

It sounds like you may have had 2 of something open unintentionally.
You could try creating a new empty database, then import everything from the database giving the problem.
It may not allow you to do it, but if you did C&R, not sure what else you can do.

I have 2003 if you want to post your mdb. I'll look at it.
