Parent / 2 child subforms Question

I have a parent form with an autonumber - I have linked 2 subforms. Both my subforms retain the autonumber of the parent form (this is a good thing).

Sub form #1: I use this one to enter the equipment we used to fix a problem - it will allow me to enter up to 6 pieces of eqiupment & still keep the same auto number - this is also a good thing.

Sub form #2: I use this one to enter the parts used to fix a problem. This is the form that is giving me trouble - I can only enter up to 3 parts and then the form will change it's own autonumber.

My perfect world would be for me to enter up to 6 parts used & still keep the same autonumber.

I don't understand why my subform #1 works perfectly, but subform #2 does not. Does anyone know of any property I should check or have marked?

Thank you for your help & advice.....
