What makes form 'design save' before open?

With the Office Help Assistant character active, I can see that whenever I open a particular form (before it appears), a Design Save is performed (the assistant gets animated), without a prompt to Save Design Changes. What triggers this?

Check the On Load under the Event Tab in the Property Sheet while in Design View. There might be some embedded code that is doing this.

I stripped all the event code, except for two lines in the Current event that load a linked image into two image controls. I suspect something to do with a subform which has only one textbox and one table behind it, used to store the directory path to the image...nothing is unbound....
