IIF formula in an unbound text box using date()

Currently, I need an unbound textbox to calculate an IIF formula on a date field. [ExpirationDate] is the date from which this formula needs to calculate. If the date is past expiration (from today), I need to show a 0, if it's not, I need a 1.

The formula I input is =IIf([ExpirationDate]>Date(),0,1). The issue is that the unbound textbox isn't calculating when I input the [ExpirationDate]. No matter what date I enter, it just shows a 1.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Is ExpirationDate set up as a date field? Try refreshing your unbound textbox or press F9 after typing in your expirationdate.
