Question Filtering by date field problem

Hi, I am using 2003 version on XP machine. I have a form which I want to be filtered by values from a combo in another form. All goes well until I try to filter by combo which contains the dates values. I discovered that dates that can be interpreted one way only (like 30/06/2011, as we use European format) do not have any problem to be filtered by, but when I fire dates than can be interpreted both ways (like 01/06/2011) they don't seem to be accepted and the result is 0 records while actually there are records with this date in the field. Any ideas?
