    UK Postcode/ZIP Code Input Mask

Hi all. I know this question has been asked numerous times before, but I haven't been able to find an answer that works fully. The problem with UK postcodes is that there are 6 different formats. These are:

    A9 9AA
    A99 9AA
    AA9 9AA
    AA99 9AA
    A9A 9AA

    AA9A 9AA

I've seen on similar threads where people have just forced the field into capitals, but my data requires that it is a valid postcode and I cant find an input mask that allows all UK postcode. Any ideas are much appreciated.

my data requires that it is a valid postcode

How are you going to enforce that? Do you have a current list of UK postcodes to check against?

I think the input mask will check format, but will not confirm the postcode is valid.
