Need to import data from one database to new one with new fields

    Hi All

Hope someone can help, I have two database, one is an old version, and a new improved one :-)

The new one has all the same data as the first one but dif field heading so what would be the best way of bringing the old data into the new database as I have around 2000 in the old database and 500 new records within the new one, not sure if it makes any odds but both tables have drop down lists and the new table has linked tables and the old one did not.

    Cheers

You could import the table into your current db and then create an Append query to copy the data from one table to the other.
If this helped, please click the star at the bottom left of this posting and add to my reputation . Many thanks.

I'm off to bed now, but take a look at the help file for "Create An Append Query", and post back if you still have problems. I'll take another look tomorrow.
