I am trying to finish of a database in a hurry for the powers that be (boss).

I am not an expect on Access 2010 but with help from expects and a little luck have been about to split the front and back end and been able to run the database across a network.

But the one problem I have (not the only one ) is in Access 2010 I cant find any way of setting user profiles and log in password, I do remember that I was able to do this in 2003 but I am 99.9% finished and do not really want to change the formate.

My thinking was to set some type of table which includes fields for username and password and some type of coding to check the username and password match then move the user into the main database.

I am no expect in coding so please try and keep it simply and ideally nice and quick as I need to have the database in test by Friday.

    Thanks

    Hads

Common topic. Do a search in forum or google. Review these

In my project I grab the user's ID from the network then check that against table to determine their privileges in the project.

We have no knowledge of your data structure and there probably isn't 'one size fits all' code. You will have to make attempt at adapting code to your requirements. There are lots of references on this topic. When you encounter specific issue, open thread with question.
