Question List spread over three columns

Does anyone know how to split a report list of records over three columns in each page, from left to right?

I have a single field list of over 1,000 entries that I want to present in three columns, thus greatly reducing pages used.

    Hope I've explained this properly.

    Thanks

    Al

On the Page Setup tab check out Columns.

Thanks - I knew it would be something simple / obvious. I tried that before but couldn't get it to work properly - just needed to persevere.

Another STRANGE anomaly with this - my single field Query is sorted by 'Ascending' and works fine. However, when I print the Report the last series of entries (all records added on the same date) are listed at the end and NOT in alphabetical order. (i.e. the last group of record entries is not represented as per the sort).

    Any ideas?

Do you have the sort set up in the report's Sorting and Grouping area? A report will not necessarily follow the query sort; you need to add it there.

    Thanks Paul

I didn't realise that a Report 'may' not follow the Query sort. To me that is NOT logical, but who am I anyway?!

    Best Regards

Happy to help. You would think it would default to the query's sorting, wouldn't you? Not sure why they didn't do that.
