Question stop "refresh all" button from creating new record

    Hi all,

When the refresh all button is hit on my form, it saves the information that was typed in the text boxes, then it refreshes the form, and creates a new record.

I am wondering if it is possible to change the refresh all properties to where it just resets the form to its original state (everything empty, as if i had just opened it) and stops creating a new record.

I have tried to search for this but have come up empty.

    any help is appreciated,
    thanks,
    -j

Refresh method itself does not create records. Something else is happening. Are you using bound form? Do you want to provide project for analysis?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

    June7,

it was in part of the code, the refresh button was refreshing the form (as it should) and was re-running the code again, hence creating the duplicate data.

    thank you
