In desperate need of help with my project

    Hi guys,

I really need some help with my project and if any of you don't mind I would appreciate your input.

I'm basically creating an attendance record database where my "client" will need to enter whether the employee is present or not, but I am find it very difficult to know what I'm doing. Unfortunately I can't upload my database because it exceeds 500kb so if you don't mind giving me your email address so I can send it to you I would be grateful.

    Thank you
    Jasmine.

Run Compact & Repair, zip if still large (2mb zip allowed).

Never built one but my impression is that attendance database is particularly challenging. Did the link I provided help? You need to be specific about the issue you have encountered.

Do you want to track daily attendance or just leave absences? If this is a daily tracking then why have records that have a date range? Useful only if you want to plot on a calender as a planning tool. See these for ideas on how to do that: https://www.accessforums.net/access/...ure-20066.html

I want to be able to track both really and I've been using these databases for some guidance but its a restricted database that only show some parts of it and I am trying to incorporate both into one database.

It would be a significant effort to analyse several databases and try to figure out how to adapt to your requirements. I am not going to take that on, maybe someone else will tackle it.

Unless you present a detailed question on a specific issue, I don't have anything else to offer.
