    Red face Tabular report name/Month/totals

Hello again, I have the following data

    employeename,datepaid,sumpaid
I want to make a tabular report that gives me the monthly total for each employee.
I've managed to group by employee and get the totals of that employee but I want to filter each total by each month of the financial year so at the moment I have a text box that has the following =Sum([sumpaid]) for the respective employee. How do I add the criteria to produce the sumpaid between date X and Y.
the date format that the data is entered in is dd/mm/yyyy
    Example below..

    Code:
    Name|Jan|Feb|Mar|Apr
    Dan |£30|£20|£20
    Mark|£15|£15|£15|£15
    Jack|£16|£17|£25
    Alice|£12|£23|£12|£11
    Fred|£5|£23|£14|£12
