    Excel to Access

    Hi Everybody,

This is my first post, so I hope I am in the right forum. CurrentlyI have an Excel file with 6 sheets. WIth the help of some vba macro the data gets to the right sheet. Now I want this application in access because we lose a lot on data that are accidently deleted. I was thinking of two options.

    Option 1 :
Remove the Master and History sheet and import it in an access file and that create a link with the excel file. (This looks easy but I have no clue..
    Option 2 :
Convert the excel to access and build everything new.

    ANy help appriciated

    thanks

Your question is whether or not you should use Excel or Access? Review the 'sticky' thread tutorials at http://forums.aspfree.com/microsoft-access-help-18/ and see if that doesn't help you answer the question. Also, look at Access template database for Inventory. Several are presented when you open Access.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
