    Linked table issue

Hi, I'm a beginner just start to using Access. I'm using the database which someone created with tables and queries. I used to copy the access file and paste to other drive or folder and change the table data. The problem is when I make a change in copied file, it automatically changes the original file as well. While I'm viewing the design view of table, it has linked with something but couldn't find where the link come from.
Is there anyone can help me on this issue?

    Thanks.

Use the Linked Table Manager to find out where the external links are pointing.

Thank you for your reply. However, my tables are linked with "BE" data which come from split database. In this case, how can I solve this problem? Thanks.

If the Linked Table Manager doesn't show you where the links are pointing then I don't know where else to look. Did you go there?

First do what aytee111 suggested look at the linked table manager it should give you the path to the BE Database. Second If it does give you a path and you still can't find the BE it may be Hidden. If you still can't find it check that folder for any subfolders that may not have been displayed in the linked table manager or are also hidden. Otherwise good luck.
