    Access 2010 - Renaming Forms

I imported a form into Access 2010 from Access 2003. It imported as F_RFQCentral1 since there was already a form Named F_RFQCentral. Then I deleted F_RFQCentral and tried to rename F_RFQCentral1 to F_RFQCentral by deleting the "1" at the end of the form's name.

When moving off the renamed form, access 2010 says "the database cannot complete this operation. You must stop the code and try again" and it adds the "1" back on the form's name.

I'm stumped as I've tried a few solutions I found but none seem to work.

ac2010 or ac2007? You are showing ac2007 in your account. Did you Compact and Repair the db after deleting the old form?

Access 2003, I'll fix my account info. And, yes, I compacted/repaired - nada.

Try *importing* everything into a fresh new db: http://www.btabdevelopment.com/ts/impnew

I tried something different and it worked. I deleted the form and re-imported it from Access 2003. This time it imported as F_RFQCentral w/o the "1" at the end.

Still do not know why Access 2010 would not let me rename but I'm happy now. Thanks.

Do you have Name AutoCorrect turned off? You should. Glad you got it sorted. Thanks for posting back with your success and solution.
