Question Relinking an ADE file to SQL tables

I have a front end that someone else designed for Access 2000. We would like to move the SQL database that it is linked to but they made it so that I can't to the normal menus once I open it and therefore can't get into the linked table manager to change where the SQL tables are.

How would I go about relinking those tables to the new path to the SQL database? Is there some trick like there is with mde's to get past the menu block out and get into the table manager?

    Hi,

I some really old copies of it but I don't trust that they have all the changes.

How would one change the location of a sql database and adjust the front ends to match? With mde's I could hold shift and then link table manager. With this I don't know. Holding shift does diddly for me. The front end is set to hide the normal menus....is there a way to get into them?

I'm afraid I have no experience with ADE's and no ideas as to how to proceed, sorry.

    New Database and IMport

You could try to create a new database and import first the tables, then you get the data, then the forms and modules.... and stop the start up form from executing when the application is opened.
