isolating discrepancies between two databases and creating a new database with those

    Hello all,

I'm tasked with creating a database that will essentially have two databases and I want to create a query that will select those records that have the same key, compare the invoiced price to our cost, and if it's different it will create an entry in a specified database. I've included a link to a file to illustrate what it is that I'm envisioning. Thank so much for your time and expertise.

    With kind regards,

Sounds like need to do a join of the two tables, then set criteria that filters for records where the cost fields are not equal and then run an APPEND query.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
