    Unhappy can't use Vlookup and battling with queries


    hi

    I have two tables(master(table1) and shipment(table2)).I need to import HAWB from table 2 onto table 1.after i have imported the HWAB values i need to compare them with the ones on table 1.If they match i want to get matching shipment ID in return and if they don't it should say not on shipping list.
    please help

    I have two tables:1.The master shipping table(table1),contains all monthly shipments that need to be made and the daily shipping records(table 2),contains shipments done for a specific day.
    Table 2 has house waybill and shipping ID fields etc and Table 1 has the house waybill field etc.
    I need to compare the waybill on table 2 with that on table 1,to see which shipments where fulfilled.I can only compare the two using the waybill since table 1 does not have the shipping ID.
    After retrieving the shipments that where fulfilled,I would like access to give me the shipping ID too(This should appear in table 1).If the shipment was not fulfilled access should give me " not on SID list" in return(This should also appear in table 1)..

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
