Totaling Record base on ID and amount field

I'm needing to total 8 records with the same id number, but different amounts in the the field named 'amounts'. For instant, if the amount field had:

23
23
25


67
45
23
88
97

I need a formula to total the above figures so it can equal 391.

Are there more than these 8 records in table and other ID values? Do a Totals (aggregate) query with GROUP BY on the ID field but SUM on the Amount field.

yeah, i did a aggregate query and it work great! I GROUP BY the ID and CX ID and SUM the amount field and it work. THANKS
