Query is too Complex

Good Morning,



I just received an error message from Access that says "Query is too complex." I'm trying to reconcile two double entered databases using the Query wizard. I joined the variables together from the corresponding tables using the same options each time, but when I hit "Run" I got the error message. Any ideas why this might be happening? Thanks.

HOLY SH## Batman! Just looking at that makes my head hurt worse than it already did. Well, the first thing I notice is that it would SEEM that you have very NON-NORMALIZED database/databases.

Frankly, I don't know if any of us are going to be able to help with this one. Why in the world do you have so many fields and why are you trying to do all of this in one query?

I feel you, Bob. I felt like barfing myself when I saw it.

I'm trying to reconcile two double entered databases:
Cornerstore.mdb and CornerStore Table 2ndary1.mdb

Basically, we're doing a quality assurance check to make sure that all of the data was entered the same way before we start the analysis.

I was attempting to run a query that would let me know if there were any discrepancies between the two databases, which contain 102 forms each and in theory should be identical. I linked all of the variables between the two tables and ran the query. Clearly, this was the wrong thing to do.

Do you have any suggestions on how to compare two databases to check for inconsistency of data entry?
