Question Split Database only allowing single user access

We have a couple of split databases here at work, and suddenly they have started allowing single user access only. It is not every time they are used but when it happens, there doesn't appear to be a locked file anywhere.
Access to both the front and back end is denied with a message saying the back end is already in use.
Can anyone shed light onto what has caused the problem - no changes have been made to permissions etc and the problem is intermittent.

    Thanks in advance

Somebody has opened the frontend exclusively which locks both. Figure out who has it open when this happens and check their properties and shortcuts to make sure it's not being opened exclusively.

1:Check Access Options at Clent Setting >Default Open Mode "Sheared"
Default Record Lock " No Lock /Edited Record" in Both Front and Back End.
2:The same problem occer to me. In my case was solution was

When the First User open the front End Main Form.It used to lock Back end table connect to that form and No other user can open the Main Form till first user closed that form.
The Allow Edit property of Main Form was set as No.
Find out when this will happen and which form was open at that time.
That form might be faulty design which lock the back end tables.
you need to do try and error to find wrong setting
    Thanks
