SQL server

I am new to using Access and gather that to make a database more usable it needs to be attached to an SQL server. I have downloaded SQL 2008 express free edition and installed it. I cannot link it to my database, or make a project that links to it. I get a dialog box comes up when I go to connections tab. I do not know and cannot find in help what I am supposed to write in all of the boxes.

Please can any one help?

When starting with Access, I would recommend starting with one of the free templates and internal tables. As you get comfortable with the system then split the db into FrontEnd and BackEnd using linked tables. I'm no expert on SQL Server but it seems that you need to use SQL tools to get the system started, but I could be wrong. An Access only system is quite robust and reliable done properly.
