Add security to a table if the table is created after initial security is set up

Is it possible to do this through vba. If security is setup for all the tables and a user goes in and creates a new table, can that table have security applied to it using code?
So maybe the creator of the table has read/write privileges but everyone else only has read only.

    Thanks.

well this post belongs in the security area. that aside; I guess you are refering to the User Level Security (which is obsoleted in .accdb ...) Read Only is read only and would apply to any & all tables I believe.

well there is something contradictory in your explanation; " a user goes in and creates a new table"

so that user, by definition, has design rights.... but another user that has only read rights will only be able to read that new table....... I believe User Level Security is assigned to the user not to the object (table/form/etc) - but I could be wrong and can't remember...

if you're asking if there is a way to change someone's rights via vb - I do not know.

sorry not to be more helpful on this one....
