Hi,
Please forgive my ignorance. I am teaching myself Access and many of the actions performed I am figuring out as I go. So, if you have a reply, do not assume I know much. Thanks. Anyway, here is my problem.
I have a list of 20 employees. Each Employee is responsible for completing 100 tasks. I have a table with a field (column) of task numbers and a field for each employee with yes/no checkbox.
............Emp1---Emp2---...Emp20
Task1----y/n-----y/n------y/n
Task2... -y/n-----y/n------y/n
Task100 -y/n-----y/n------y/n
TOTAL----X-------X--------X
I am able to calculate a percentage of tasks completed for each employee in a report. BUT, I also need to calculate percentage of Employees that have completed each task. (Summing horizontally) In the end, I need to calculate the total completion of all employees for all tasks.
My attempt at a solution:
I transposed the above report and can calculate that way, but I need to have this in one report (can't figure that part out) and IF I am heading in the right direction with the transposing, I need to link/relate the two tables so that I only have to check yes/no once and it will populate the other table.
I have to believe there is an easier way to do this than how I am pursuing it.
Please help. I've been going at this for days.
