    Eliminating Duplicates in a Report

I've been working with Access for several months now and have run into an issue that I'm unsure how to fix. I Currently have a query with the following Data. The Scores Below represent different parts of a phone call that make up an entire score

    Supervisor CSR Monitor Score1 Score2 Score 3
    Stephanie Mike Jenny 10 5 10

    Stephanie Mike Michael 10 5 5
    Stephanie Mike Michael 10 10 5
    Stephanie Tom Jenny 10 10 10
    Stephanie Tom Karen 10 10 10
    Stephanie Steve Jenny 10 10 10
    Michelle George Karen 10 5 5

I currently have a report that gives the Average scores for the CSRs working under a specific Manager. It Gives the following breakdown.

    Report Header
    Manager
    Score1 Average; Score2 Average; Score3 Average

    Details
    CSR
    Score1 Average; Score2 Average; Score3 Average

I'm trying to get a detailed report that further breaks down this information.

    Report Header
    Manager
    Score1 Average; Score2 Average; Score3 Average

    Details
    CSR
    Score1 Average; Score2 Average; Score3 Average
Monitor (As scored to an individual CSR)
    Score1 Average; Score2 Average; Score3 Average
Monitor (As scored to an individual CSR)
    Score1 Average; Score2 Average; Score3 Average

Generally I like to create the most detailed level report I can first - basically dumping any and all relevant fields into the detail section of the report. I save that report off, then use grouping, headers and footers to summarize the information, then save that report as a separate summary report. (Then lather, rinse and repeat..) It sounds like you may be working from the opposite end of that, starting with your summary first and moving to detail.

I would suggest first getting all the data you want to see onto a report, and then from there start clipping with groups until you get exactly what you want.

I can generate the report I'm looking for, however I'm not sure how to set it up to report the way I'm looking for. Right now it is Reporting as follows.

    Manager
    Average Score1; Average Score2; Average Score3

    CSR
    Average Score1; Average Score2; Average Score3
    Monitor
    Average Score1; Average Score2; Average Score3

    CSR
    Average Score1; Average Score2; Average Score3
    Monitor
    Average Score1; Average Score2; Average Score3

I can't use the can Shrink as there are label boxes as part of the averages. Basically I need the Monitor information to repeat for the Common CSR Which is all in details.

Have you set up a group for Manager, CSR, and Monitor?

I just figured it out. By putting the CSR information into Details Header it no longer repeats. Thanks for all your help
