    database is auto saved

access 2007 worked fine, last thing I did before it messed up was import an excel file into an existing table in my access database. No problems with the import but now I notice when I
close access it no longer prompts me to "save changes" I want it back the way it was as I sometimes just do a bit of "temporary testing" and do not want the database saved. I do not know what caused this as it always prompted a save if any changes had been made. I have not done any macros etc vba I am not famliar with it, so do not know where this "bug" came from. Please be explicit in answer if I have to do any type of coding.
    Many thanks Fiand

    Hi,

probably the warnings were turned off. Goto File -> Options -> Client Settings to turn them on again
