Volume limits?/ Trade Blotter Project

Hello All,



I am fairly new to Access and have a question about volumen limits. We are looking to trend trade blotter activity, about 750,000 rows of data daily for a month. Is anyone familiar with a volume limit in the system, as we would like to know if it should be web-based instead.

Access has file size limit of 2gb. It is possible you could exceed this. I have worked with other posters doing similar thing and they experienced hitting this limit. They would implement some 'workaround' such as summarizing the data and purging detail records.

And the next steps up would be:

SQL Express - 4 gb (free)

SQL/Oracle/MySQL - limited by hard drive space (AFAIK) (big bucks)
