    Forms! Allow Deletions/Edits - No

    Hey there, hope doing fine.



    I have a main form with subform and looking lock the delections and edits but when i do that so subform is also locked and cant enter new data into it. I have done this for single form but with subform, dont know so far.

    it is required bcz when ever open the form so bymistake the old data modified.

    How to do that?

    please advise.

    Have you tried setting the subform properties to allow edit/delete and the main form to disallow them? How does the data get modified simply on opening the form (by mistake)?

    yes i do manage the subform settings but it did not work. yes it some times by mistake so just was looking to reduce the data entry errors.

    See this. I set the controls on the main form to locked, although they remain enabled, they cannot be edited.

    Dear, i am sorry it will not work. bcz when u lock the cells on a form so we cant enter any kind of data. so try if u can add new record to those cells. no way to enter. anyways thanks for ur efforts.

    You are not being clear; in your original post you said you want to lock deletions and edits on the main form and leave the subform enabled. Can you confirm?

    well, yes u are right but off course i need additions in mainform too.

    make a separate form for additions and lock its subform.
