    Adding notes to a report

    Hello all,

    I have one simple (hopefully) question. Is there a way to allow a user to add notes to a report after it is generated? I figure I could use a form before the report is generated, but it would be nice for the user to see the numbers in the report, then make notes as necassary. Thank you for your time in advance.

    Not really, as reports are read-only (at least they have been historically). You could work around it, but it would involve a couple of steps. Basically you'd have to pop up an InputBox or a form, add the data from there to the underlying table(s), then requery the report so it showed the new info.

    Thank you for the response Paul. I guess I will just go with a form to open the report.
