Pbaldy,
I just made a quick copy of my database from scratch with only a couple of the tables. When I tested the code on it, it worked. So I think I am going to work from this new database and continue from scratch while using my old one as a reference.
The relationships must have been a little messed up.
Although, I would like to know what it means when access responds to me entering information, the following:
"Value cannot be added to this new row until this row has been committed."
Alright. So after starting a new database from scratch, I have been able to successfully auto-fill a row in a form.
The dilema, though, is that I cannot add another row in the form without manually going to tblPartsPerOrder and starting a new row by inputting the JCSnumber. How do I make it so that this is automatic?
The error message is: "Cannot add record(s); Join key of table 'tblPartsPerOrder' not in recordset.
I have attached a copy of the database I am testing this on.
That should probably be posted in a new thread. It's off the topic of this one, and someone searching for a similar question would have a hard time finding it 4 pages into the thread. Start a new thread and I'll keep an eye out for it.
True, I just posted it with the title being the error message.
