Counting the parameters of a combobox

This will be very simple to answer, I'm sure, but I have several combo boxes in a form that I created. I ran a simple report to sum everything up, but now I would like to add some boxes to sum up the different parameters of the combobox. I feel like I should be using =count[combobox].[parameter] but since I'm very new to wrting anything for Access, this is purely a guess. Is what I'm trying to do even possible? Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by 'parameters' - values stored in that field in table? Use report Grouping & Sorting with aggregate calcs. Access Help has guildance on designing reports with these features.

OK, that works, but I'm only able to run the totals for one column/combobox. Mainly because I can only seem to run the totaling from the Group and Sort menu. If I try to total anything else, it only gives me the total of an item within the group that it is in. I'm sure I seem like a total idiot, but I really appreciate your help.

I need sample data to test. If you want to provide project or at least an excerpt of the relevant objects, I will analyse.
