    Exporting Pivot table

I have a query built in access. When I hit the "Export to Excel" button, it opens excel and a blank pivot table with the field list box. In other words, it forces me to rebuild the pivot table in excel.

I have another query that I built that exports as a pivot table to excel. Any idea why there's a difference? Thanks.

When you are exporting both - does the pivot table for one already exist? I found that on occasion when I would export data to the same file name the data export would occur to the file I had already created, and the pivot table would stay the same - but if I had more rows it would not pivot the data below what I had originally selected.

If the excel file did not exist, I would have to create the Pivot table once exported..
