How to embed a Microsoft excel file into Microsoft access database.
How to embed a Microsoft excel file into Microsoft access database.
What do you mean by embed? Import it as a table?
I have an excel model. the input spreadsheet in the same are linked with the query output in Microsoft access. is there some way by which the excel spreadsheet can be embedded in access?
I see what you mean. You want to view and manipulate the excel sheet from within Access. The easiest way is to have a form in design view, click on "unbound object" and click anywhere in the form. The wizard will pop up and you can choose "create from file" and choose the excel sheet. It will display it in the form. Double clicking on it should allow modification. For further customization, read up on OLE Objects and you can manipulate them in VBA.
thanks for your help. the excel attachment opens in design view not in the form mode.
Make sure you enable it in the properties. It opens in form mode as well for me.
thanks for your help. job done
I have added unbounded object in form and choose the "Create from file" done this and changed the property "Enable" to "Yes" Excel sheet attachment opens in "Design view" and "Layout view" not in the form mode.
I am using MS Access 2010 Window 8.1 pro..
