    Modifying a database

I have to modify an existing database db1 and here are the properties:

I do not have admin rights rather dbo rights.
Has front and backend in access.

The user wants to make modifications to the forms.

    Here is what I did:

Took a copy of frontend of the database and made it to db2.
The user will have to use db1 for patients less than 6 yr old and to access old data.
The user will use db2 frontend, to access new system.

I made the structural changes of the tables and forms.

My question is, how to make those changes effective in the server, ie backend?

do I have to ask the network admin to add the necessary columns and update the table link manager?

can any one tell me, how to get this accomplished? so that db1 and db2 communicate with the same backend.

    Thanks for your help.

    Somemore updates:

I took a copy of a table, form, query, report and modified them as "tblExisting_modified".
If I just make all these changes again at the db1 backend, will db1 and db2 communicate with the same backend, simultaneously.

    am I confusing too much?
