    Copied report columns, gridlines uneditable

Alright here's my problem (in Access 2007):

I have a bunch of tables in a database, and I made a report off of one of them. When I made a new report off of another table, I entered Design view in both and copied the labels and columns from the first (formatted nicely) report over.

Everything worked and the report looked great (all the right information was displayed, formatted and placed as it should have been), except... the gridlines I set on some of the columns had disappeared. Under the property tab, they are still listed as there. Strangely though, in Layout/Design view on the new report, I can't even edit the gridlines or totals or anything. Is it simply because I copied it over? Is there a way to 'unlock' the gridlines so that they can be edited again?

Sorry, not familiar with the issue you encountered. I've never used control layouts nor set gridlines.

Howver, it is possible you should not have separate tables. You could copy the controls from one report to another based on different table without having to change the bound fields, just the form RecordSource? Are these tables identical in structure (same fields)?
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
