Question Reports - totals by month

I would like to create a report that displays counts of dataA within the months (of the year) going across the report.

    Example:
    . . . . . Jan2011 Feb2011 Mar2011 (etc)
    DataA-1 . . 4 . . . . 7 . . .6
    DataA-2 . . 3 . . . . 14 . . . 8
    Total . . . 7 . . . . 21. . . 14

I can not figure out how to get the sub-total (and total) X month across the printed row.
note: '.' period in above example is not part of data, it's this to hold the layout for this post

Thank for any and all help!

Did you try a crosstab query? This is one of the special queries available in the query wizard.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
