    Angry Form design

I have made a Inventory database of my shop in Access 2007. I have two tables one 'Purchase table' having fields Invoice No, Date, Supplier, Cost of material, tax and total amount. I have another table 'Particulars of Items" purchased which has fields Invoice No, Item particulars, quantity, cost and total amount for each item. One invoice may contain many items. In 'Particulars of item table I have to enter Invoice Number for each item which is bit irritating. How can I design a form which will avoid the labour of entering same invoice number again and again.

sounds like a classic 1:many scenario.

Set that Particulars form into the main form as a subform - and set it up so the invoice# is the cross referencing field (the wizard walks you thru it during set up). Then you won't have to reenter that value manually - Access does it for you.

    hope this helps.
