Cannot always overtype item from lookup list

    Hello folks!

One of the fields I use in my form has a lookup list, but it is not limited to that list. Usually, when people type something that triggers the lookup, but continue typing, it simply overwrites the item it tried to pull up as it begins highlighted.

    Example:

    Lookup has Juan Robles
    Employee is entering Judith Michaels
The "Ju" triggers "Juan Robles", but after typing the "d", Juan Robles disappears and he/she can continue typing Judith Michaels without issue.

This is how it normally works, but for one gal, once a day or so, "Juan Robles" does not go away, but hitches a ride on the end of Judith's name. It continues to do so until you exit the form and come back.

I have tested the field with every case I can think of, CAPS LOCK, no caps, Judith, jUDITH, JuDiTh, etc. on both my computer and hers, and the issue does not arise during testing. I assume there is something she has unwittingly activated to cause this, but I don't know what. As of right now, only about 4 people are using the program, but it will soon balloon to many more, and I would like to figure out a solution to this before than.

Thanks so much for your help!

Bah. I though I tried that and it didn't make a difference, but then I did it just now and it caused the problem, in conjunction with caps lock. Thanks for the help!

    Ok, how about something else.

    Same situation as above.

Caps Lock is on. When typing Judith Michaels, it triggers Juan Robles. Now, assuming the insert key has not been hit, it does allow you to overtype the lookup item, but it does not retain it's highlighted status, so it does not just eliminate it entirely. The end result is "JuDITH MICHAELS"

Any ideas on how to make the program function the same on caps lock as when it isn't?

    Thanks again!

The user at least gets a visual feedback as to the problem. I don't know how else to help in this case.
