How to Unprotect
I just got hired and the first thing i am supposed to do is get a database set up for training record tracking. i am pretty good with access when i am setting up a database myself but the one that they are using was made by somone who wanted to make it very difficult to edit. i havent found a password that was set yet but everything is hidden and i cant create new reports or anything.
do you guys have any ideas

Is it ac2007? Is there any difference when you open the db while holding down a <SHIFT> key?
-
no change when holding down <SHIFT> and yes it is access 2007 but it may have been created in 2003
-
Does it have an AutoExec macro? Can you get to the Database window?
-
not sure about the autoexec, how would i check. and i think i am in the database window but i am not sure i have unhidden the navigation pane and can get access to the tables and everything but im not sure how to add report
-
So you have the Nav Window open? Are there existing reports and can you see them? Can you see any Macros?
-
yes i have the nav window up and there is a section called modules is that what your talking about... there are three items in it
-
Is there a section called Reports? Is there a section called Macros?

Based on your first post, I'm guessing you are not familiar with the totally revised interface of Access 2007. It sounds like you have everything available to make your changes and just need some time to get familiar with the new GUI.
