locking data in subform after record save

I would like the data in a subform to be locked once record is saved, I am entering money received and spent for individuals and I want that once deposited amt and withdrawal amt is entered I do not want these entries to be changed. This info is in a subform.

I guess I would have to allow only the administrator to edit but all others enter and view data.

Unless you have a better suggestion

If hanky-panky may be going on then maybe a temp table for the SubForm and append to regular table when the user exits the main form setting the "Admin Only" flag in the record as you append.

I would add a field called something like AdminOnly as a true/false field. You can then set this true when the record is saved in your current scheme and not allow editing if true. Do you know how to create a temporary table for your SubForm to use?

Do you think you might want to go the temp table route? Do you understand the concept?

What is the RecordSource of your SubForm and to what do you have the LinkChild/MasterFields set?

I meant the SubForm and not the SubFormControl. What is the RecordSource of the frmTransactions form?
