    Angry Counts in reports

    Hi there,

I am very new to access but have managed to create a table and a form in access 2010.

Now, I would like to create a report that counts the number or records entered for a particular date. Please see the attached screenshot for my table.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Am getting very frustrated.

    Thanks,

    Ben

to count records "by date" - then the approach can depend on how data will be presented. If the data is presented by date - then you could group by date, and number the records using a running number approach. Or implement a count in the group footer.

Or if the data is scrambled up and in one long list where a date could occur anywhere in the list - - then one is probably better off counting by date using stand alone Aggregate Queries and inserting them as subreports.

Possibly this helps get you going in the right direction.
