    Permissions

Is there a way to control permissions in an accessdatabase without everyone having to use a password to log in? Could it be set for all employees to have the ability to add to the database, but only one person can make deletions or edit format? Thank you!

are you using the user level security wizard right now?? doesn't that have those options in it?? or are you looking to get rid of the password stuff??

you can do anything really, but most elegant solutions take so much time to figure out and do that they're not practical, nor are they standard. for instance, checking a machine's serial number when a db opens. YES, you can do that, but is there a need to do it?? technically, there should never be.

Sorry, I should have specified. I have Access 2007 and I am a new user of Access so I'm not very familiar with how to control permissions. I do not believe this version has the user level security wizard. Thanks!
