replace a character with a wildcard

    Hi everyone,

I just split several strings into arrays, and now I need to find every "x" in the arrays and replace them with wildcards. How do I go about doing this?

Also, there isn't an "x" in every array, so it would be cool if I didn't get an error message when it can't find an "x".

    Thanks in advance

Do you want to share some of the code your using and the array set up?
We can't guess what you're dealing with.

    furthermore,

are you SURE you put the strings into arrays and not array ELEMENTS in one array only??

exploding strings into substrings does not constitute the need for more than one array. As a matter of fact, it does not make any sense to do that. String Arrays aren't meant to have one string in them.
