    Information in tabbed form

I created a tabbed form and I added text boxes in the tabbed form. However, when I type information in....it carries through all of the clients and I want the information typed to stay only with that client. I hope that makes sense.

I attached a view of the screen. I want to be able to enter information in the blank boxes below.

    Thanks!

Are those textboxes bound (do they have a control source)? I'm guessing not, so the data is not being saved, and will stay there as you change records.

Put the appropriate field in the control source, just as you did for the textboxes above.

I got it. Thanks! Sorry I am new to all of this. I have another question though. If I want to have a form that says payments and I have a field that allows the user to type in a name or number to pull up the list of payments for the account...how do I do that?

One way would be a form/subform where the form was bound to customers and the subform to payments. Master/child links would keep them in sync with each other.

My apologies. I tend to be a visiual learner. Perhaps you can take a look at the file. It's in spanish but pretty easy to understand the concept. Basically if I create a relationship between payments and clients, then when one looks up the client by name or number all the payments for that client will show up?
