    Newbie problem with report!

Apologies in advance, I am sure the solution to my issue is very simple but I am now brain dead with trying to resolve !

I have created a table for holding data about task order forms.

I have created a form for people to enter the data in to table, rather than entering info straight in to the table.

I have created a query to get all the information from the table.

I have created a report format that I would like to be able to print at the end.

I have also created another form that a user can type a number in to. The idea of this form is that when a command button is pressed it will display all the data from that specific task order form requested as a report.

Its the last part I cannot get to work!!!

    PLEASE help.

The criteria row in the query would reference the control on the form.

For more specific info, please post the SQL of the report query, the name of the form, the name of the control that you enter the number into and the name of the field that is filtered.

    Thank you for the reply

I went back to basics and created a very simple name, address, tel no table... subsequent form and query.

The query had the criteria parameter set to the text box on the form I created for user input. The command button on the form opened the report... which was based on the query!

Quite simple really... I was just having a mental block!

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
