Just make the button then click cancel, don't choose any of the options from the button wizard. Then go to the button properties, for the OnClick event choose Code Builder and enter in Forms!YourForm.Requery (where YourForm is the name of your main form, or the one that you want to refresh).

Ok when you open code builder, just copy and paste the following in to the private sub area for the control you are working with....

    Forms!Narrated.Requery

    Hi 10 Gauge
Well this is embarrassing if you’re still about I have finally got your advice to work every time now it was my fault it may sound stupid but the advice you gave me was just brilliant but. I was using on the wrong form I was refreshing the form I used to input the new narrator.
I should have used it on the main input form to refresh the new data added in the narrator form.
    How stupid can I get?

Hey man we all make mistakes and it's all part of the learning process!

The advanced Access users and MVP's on this forum are as good as they get, I've learned more stuff than my brain will allow me to absorb in such a short amount of time.
