crosstab query (criteria)

I created a crosstab query. I have a field called Pick Effective Date,
and I wanted to choose certain dates. I used [enter date], text in the Query Paramaeters dialog box. It works, but the specified date does not come up. If I insert 02/14/11, the entrie crosstab query comes up. I want the date for only 2/14/11.
